Analysis of Patients with Emergency Thoracic Trauma

Background: Trauma is an important health problem because it causes high morbidity and mortality. Thoracic trauma generally categorized as blunt penetrating trauma. traumas are life-threatening require rapid intervention. Successful treatment achieved with multidisciplinary management diagnosis.
 Aims: It was aimed to investigate clinical outcomes of emergency thoracic in the study.
 Study Design: patients older than 18 years old hospitalized surgery clinic from department were included and, excluded without trauma, not hospitalized, younger ages Place Duration Study: Ersin Arslan Training Research Hospital wards January 1, 2021 December 31, 2021.
 Methodology: A total 114 analyzed. Findings injuries 75.4% hemothorax, 72.8% pneumothorax, 61.4% contusion lungs, 49.1% fractures ribs, 18.4% subcutaneous emphysema, 9.6% cardiac injury, 5.2% diaphragmatic, 1.7% tracheobronchial 0.8% esophageal injury.  Conclusions: more often males. Penetrating common adults 40 years. majority comorbidity. these 100% parenchyma lung 75% intercostal ligation, 41.6% wall reconstruction, 33.3% mediastinal 25% diaphragm repair thoracotomy. Rates mortality 13.3% 2.9% stabbing. Mortality rate 2.6% study.
